Some Motorists Were Gifted Headphones By Police This Weekend As Part Of An Eid Campaign
Motorists in the capital were pleasantly surprised when Abu Dhabi Police gifted some of them headphones this weekend, as part of an Eid Al Adha campaign.
To discourage motorists from using their phones behind the wheel, they were given a set of headphones.
Police said motorists are likely to be distracted with Eid greetings during the Holy weekend, and the headphones would help reduce the number of people looking to text behind the wheel.
The use of mobile phones while driving in the UAE will incur a fine of AED800 and up to four black points.
