Abu Dhabi Police Arrest A Smuggler And Seize 48 Tonnes Of Drugs

The UAE is a country that prides itself on its safety and values. Therefore, it is common knowledge to all who live and visit the nation that drugs illegal. The consumption, possession, distribution, and attempts to smuggle any drug is against the law in the UAE. Moreover, authorities announced that they arrested a smuggler for bringing in more than 48 tonnes of drugs into the country.

The smuggler brought in 48 tonnes and 693kgs of narcotics and psychotropic substances

However, his plan was foiled when authorities intervened. Abu Dhabi Police and the Public Prosecution arrested him as he was attempting to arrange a warehouse. The storage unit was his chosen location to store and distribute the drugs.

Thankfully, authorities foiled his plan and took him to court. The Public Prosecution saw these acts as a crime punishable by law. According to the decree of Federal Law No. 30 of 2021 in the case of combating narcotics and mental effects.

Once again, authorities in the UAE are doing a fantastic job in keeping the country safe!
