Abu Dhabi Terror Attack Response: Saudi-Led Coalition Launches Attack On Houthi Rebels In Yemen Capital

On Monday, 3 fuel tankers exploded in Abu Dhabi which caused 3 deaths and 6 injuries. Another minor fire was reported near Abu Dhabi international airport.

On Monday evening, UAE’s His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation released a statement, condemning the Houthi militia’s targeting of civilian areas and facilities on UAE soil.

“We reiterate that those responsible for this unlawful targeting of our country will be held accountable.”

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stated that the UAE reserves the right to respond to these terrorist attacks and criminal escalation, describing them as crimes committed in flagrant violation of international law.

The ministry said that the terrorist militia has carried out a cowardly act to spread terrorism and chaos in the region in order to achieve its illegal aims and objectives. It called on the international community to strongly condemn and denounce these terrorist acts that target civilians and civilian facilities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation also expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured

In the wake of the attacks, the Saudi-led coalition fighting Houthis in Yemen launched air strikes targeting the Yemeni capital

Joint forces also intercepted 8 bomb-laden drones that were launched towards the Kingdom

International powers including Saudi, the UK, the US, Greece, France, Jordan, Morocco, Bahrain and the UN Chief strongly condemn the attack on civilian facilities which are being named as Iran-backed Houthi with hostilities which threaten regional and international security
