The UAE Ruler Spoke To Emirati Astronauts A Day Ahead Of The Monumental Space Mission

Wednesday, September 25 will be a historic day in the UAE.

For the first time, an Emirati astronaut will undertake a mission to the International Space Station, ISS.

And HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has wished them well.

On Tuesday,  he called Hazza Al Mansoori and Sultan Al Neyadi. Al Mansoori was the astronaut who has been chosen to make the journey and Al Neyadi is serving as his backup.

“The journey will see the UAE create history and will mark our entry into the world of space exploration, inspiring future generations to aim for greater glory.” – MBZ

 

He is praying for their safe return

Al Mansoori also Tweeted  “We promise you to raise the name of the UAE high in space, and be the best ambassadors for our country and the Arab world”

Adding he was honoured to receive a call from HH

The rocket has reached the landing site and preparations are well underway
