It looks like the sky is the limit for the UAE Space Programme.

Ambitious plans including the newly launched and approved UAE National Space Programme and strategy by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces is proof the UAE is ready to advance.

“The UAE has decided to enter the space race”

According to Gulf Today the UAE’s decision to send an unmanned probe to Mars by 2021 shows us just that. The seven month Mars tour is planned for July 2020 in the Hope space shuttle.

An all Emirati team of scientists, astronauts and space researchers will head up the tour

The space programme is a marker of how far the UAE and Arab world has come. A paper delivered on the subject noted this is the first time an Arab or Muslim country has sent a spacecraft to Mars and this is an incredible time for the UAE, ‘Herein lies an incredibly inspiring lesson for the international community the UAE’s role in transcending the grim reality of the region to create a progressive future for its people and the rest of mankind should be a model to follow for all other nations’.

“Our national space programme is a solid platform to prepare Emirati cadres specialised in airspace sciences, and qualify future generations that are able to contribute to humanity knowledge. We plan to send the first Emirati astronaut to space over the next few years, and we are preparing the first Emirati and Arab astronaut to join scientists at the International Space Station.”
