Sneak Peek: Zayed National Museum Exhibition Unveils Its Treasures At Etihad Museum
Exciting news for history buffs and culture enthusiasts – the Zayed National Museum is set to open its doors soon, offering a glimpse into the treasures it will hold.
In the meantime, an exhibition titled “Introducing Zayed National Museum: The Foundations of Unity” is currently on display at the Etihad Museum in Dubai, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Dubai Culture.
Running until December 5, 2024, the exhibition pays homage to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, showcasing his profound impact on the UAE’s history and culture.
Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, inaugurated the exhibition, emphasizing its national significance as an educational resource and cultural record.
The immersive experience features a curated collection of artifacts, films, and archival images, offering insight into Sheikh Zayed’s life, from his formative years in Al Ain to his visionary leadership and key moments in UAE’s history. Visitors can expect to see rare photographs capturing historic meetings, including the signing of the UAE constitution in 1971.
In Abu Dhabi, visitors can look forward to a model of the Zayed National Museum on Saadiyat Island, along with engaging workshops and activities inspired by Sheikh Zayed’s passion for nature and falconry. Panel discussions and dialogues will also explore the founding and development of the UAE, making this exhibition a must-visit for anyone interested in the country’s rich heritage and legacy.
