Pharmaceutical company Pfizer and biotechnology company BioNTech just announced that a vaccine they co-created is 90% effective and has been described as the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ by Pfizer Chairman and CEO Dr. Albert Bourla.<\/p>\n

An external Data Committee, which supervises clinical trials to ensure safety, found the vaccine to be 90% effective.<\/p>\n

The vaccine still requires further data before it’s approved, which will be available by the third week of November, therefore it is not available to the public yet. If approved for wider use in the population, two doses of this vaccine are needed and COVID protection is achieved after 28 days.<\/p>\n
