Happy 50 years to the brotherly bonds and strong relations of the UAE and Egypt! Since 1971, the two countries shared the same values.<\/p>\n

Here’s a rundown of the historical bond of 50 years between the two nations since 1971<\/h2>\n

The United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt distinguished historical relations<\/a> spanning more than 50 years. Initially, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan believed in Egypt’s pivotal role and stature in the region.<\/p>\n

On April 14 1971, the late President of Egypt Mohammad Anwar Al Sadat, presented the Order of the Nile to the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in Egypt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The efforts of the late Sheikh Zayed and late Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser started before the declaration of the Union in 1971<\/h2>\n

Both leaders brought together a fraternal and brotherly relationship. Moreover, the relationship reflects common values and mutual respect between the two countries and their peoples.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the image below portrays the late founding father H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan viewing an ancient Egyptian sarcophagus in Egypt. This took place on April 16, 1971.<\/p>\n

The 1970s witnessed a fruitful period in bilateral relations between the UAE and Egypt<\/h2>\n

As the ties between the two countries were a great model of ideal relations between Arab countries. Sheikh Zayed allocated $100 million to help Egypt rebuild all the governorates of the Suez Canal. This served as a significant momentum in the relations between both countries. Resulting in an entire Egyptian city named after late Sheikh Zayed, in 1976.<\/p>\n
