The Louvre Abu Dhabi has launched its very own film programme, Cinem’Art.<\/p>\n

Cinema’Art is a programme showcasing silent films and cinematic experiments and even short films by younger directors in UAE.<\/p>\n

Curated by artist and film enthusiast Hind Mezaina, the programme is aimed at bringing the museum’s global atmosphere to the screens<\/h4>\n

Been holding on to this news for a while, but it\u2019s finally time to announce I\u2019ve programmed my first film series for @LouvreAbuDhabi<\/a>. Every Saturday between 23 June – 28 July. Includes classics, experimental, documentaries, shorts. Free to attend.

Inspiration originates from a number of places<\/h4>\n

The inspiration arose from some of the paintings featured in the museum which are Mughal in nature or are from daily scenes in China.<\/p>\n

There are other experimental films that according to Mezaina, “Wouldn\u2019t normally get a theatrical release here. They\u2019re films that I think are important and interesting to see in the context of the museum.”<\/p>\n
