The Ministry of Interior has confirmed residents from over 52 nationalities can now legally drive in the Emirates using their national driving licences, without the need for a test, provided they are not residing in the country.<\/p>\n<p>For instant updates<a href=\"https:\/\/whatsapp.com\/channel\/0029Va96zGxLdQelL5ofh13w\">\u00a0Follow Lovin on WhatsApp<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>However, those planning to move to the UAE must meet six conditions in order to exchange a foreign licence for a new one<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>An eligible country must have issued the foreign licence<\/li>\n<li>Legal driving age requirement must be met<\/li>\n<li>Foreign licence must be valid<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must hold a UAE residency visa or provide proof of their UAE address<\/li>\n<li>Must pass an eye test<\/li>\n<li>For some countries, the original licence must be surrendered under existing agreements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>MOI also clarified the difference between &#8220;licence recognition&#8221;
