A tragic accident happened in Algeria.<\/p>\n

A bus veered off a bridge and plunged into the Oued El Harrach river in Algiers, the capital<\/h2>\n

The bus lost control in the Mohammadia district late Friday and plunged into the river, according to Algeria\u2019s state press agency. Civil Defence deployed 25 ambulances, 16 divers, and four boats to the scene, with recovery operations continuing into the night.<\/p>\n

At least 18 people were killed and nine others injured, local media reported.<\/p>\n

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune declared a national day of mourning after the crash, which has become one of Algeria\u2019s worst road accidents in recent years.<\/p>\n
