Unhealthy food no more..<\/h3>\n

The UAE\u2019s Education Ministry just dropped some big news: school cafeterias across the country will no longer be selling (or even allowing!) unhealthy and processed foods.<\/p>\n

That means no mortadella sandwiches, sausages, instant noodles, soft drinks, chocolate bars, chips, cakes, or those sugary packaged snacks that kids love sneaking in. Even peanuts and peanut butter are off the list because of allergy risks.<\/p>\n

So what\u2019s behind this decision?<\/em><\/h3>\n

Experts say unhealthy diets can affect kids\u2019 physical and mental health, and even hurt their focus in class. The numbers tell the story: a recent study found that one in three Emirati children is overweight, and 17% are classified as obese.<\/p>\n
