Ireland’s Johnny Coyne: His Palestine Experience and Supporting Gazan Child Evacuees in Jordan

Irish creator Johnny Coyne has been on quite the adventure lately, hopping from Palestine to Jordan and making a real difference along the way. From learning Arabic with taxi drivers to supporting children evacuated from Gaza, Johnny’s journey is all about connection, kindness, and a dash of fun.

Crossed into Palestine and made new friends

Johnny’s trip kicked off with a warm welcome in Jordan, thanks to his new friend Rami. After a night of classic Jordanian hospitality, Johnny crossed the border into Palestine, where he was greeted by a chorus of taxi drivers and the buzz of a new adventure. He documented his travels through the West Bank, sharing raw moments and good vibes with everyone he met—music, laughter, and plenty of peace signs included!

Supported Gazan child evacuees in Jordan

After his time in Palestine, Johnny found himself back in Jordan, where he joined a group of volunteers helping children evacuated from Gaza for cancer treatment. Many of these kids arrived without their families, so Johnny and the team made it their mission to give them a break from the chaos—think coloring, games, and a few hours of pure fun. Johnny even started a fundraiser, raising over €4,000 to support the kids and provide much-needed medical supplies. Big shoutout to Claire and Ana for organizing the project!

Learned Arabic and shared the love

Johnny didn’t just stop at volunteering—he also picked up some Arabic from the best teacher around: his Jordanian taxi driver. Between learning phrases like “I need food” and “I need a wife,” Johnny kept the mood light and the laughs coming. Through it all, he’s shown how a little kindness and a lot of heart can go a long way, especially for those who need it most.
