Jordan Ranked Second Globally for Anger in 2024 Gallup Report

Jordan just scored the runner-up spot for global anger, according to the 2024 Gallup Global Emotions Report. Apparently, 46% of adults in Jordan admitted they felt angry ‘a lot of the day’ before the survey. That’s a whole lot of big feelings packed into one tiny country!

The Global Emotions Report dropped some spicy stats this year, putting Jordan at number two worldwide for anger levels. The survey, released in 2024, found nearly half of Jordanians were feeling the heat—emotionally, that is. It’s not every day you see a country wear its heart (and its temper) on its sleeve like this!

Experts blamed more than just tempers

Experts say it’s not just about having a short fuse. Economic stress, geopolitical tension, and the daily grind all play a part in turning up the emotional thermostat. So, if you thought it was just about temper, think again—life’s little (and big) frustrations are all in the mix.

But hey, if there’s one thing about Jordanians, it’s that they know how to have a laugh—even about being angry! Social media was buzzing with comments like, ‘Why?! Who dares to surpass us?’ and ‘Who is first!?’ proving that even when the news is about rage, the reactions are pure comedy gold. Only in Jordan can you turn a global anger ranking into a viral moment of national pride and playful banter.
