Drivers spotted the new multi-lane toll plazas popping up, complete with signs for ‘Cartes / Cards’ and friendly operators in orange uniforms. Whether you’re cruising in a silver sedan or rolling up in a truck, you’ll soon be able to pay your way with cash, credit card, or—coming soon—a QR-based prepaid system. Just don’t forget your receipt, because missing a payment means a 20 JD fine!

Solar-powered and split highways

The new road isn’t just about collecting tolls. It’s all about a smoother, safer drive. Expect solar-powered streetlights lighting up your night rides, and separate highways designed for both citizens and truck drivers. That means less traffic drama and more efficient trips for everyone.

A smarter way to travel

With construction vehicles still buzzing around and a complex web of ramps and overpasses, this project is set to transform how Jordanians travel. Whether you’re a daily commuter or a long-haul trucker, the new system promises a safer, smarter, and more efficient journey. Would you take the toll road or stick to the free route?
