Auction set the pace

Held by the Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Department under the directive of Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, this auction wasn’t your average paddle-raising event. Bidders went head-to-head for the most eye-catching numbers like ’44’, ‘777’, and ‘9999’, with some plates fetching up to 425,000 dinars! The excitement was real, and the numbers on those paddles—like ’27’ and ’82’—were just as hot as the bids.

All for a good cause

The best part? All proceeds are going to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Thanks to this record-breaking auction, around 3,500 more students will now get access to scholarships and loans. The government’s move is all about widening the circle of opportunity and easing the financial load for students and their families.

So next time you spot a flashy license plate in Jordan, remember—it might just be helping someone earn their degree! Now that’s what we call a win-win on wheels.
