A truly heartwarming moment recently went viral in Jordan, showcasing the incredible generosity of a young boy. Fahd Kharoub, from Amman, decided to spread some serious Ramadan cheer by giving away his own Iftar meals to hardworking delivery drivers.
Imagine the surprise when a delivery driver arrived, expecting to drop off an order, only to be greeted by young Fahd Kharoub with a cheerful ‘Hello uncle!’ Instead of receiving the package, the driver was told, ‘We bought this for you. Ramadan Kareem!’ The driver, understandably touched, initially tried to decline, saying, ‘Uncle, thank you. There’s no need, uncle. Thank you,’ but Fahd insisted, ‘No, no, it’s fine.’ ‘Thank you, uncle, thank you,’ were the words of the driver who was moved by this kindness, and this sweet exchange marked the beginning of Fahd’s brilliant plan to make Ramadan a little brighter for those on the go.
As the evening progressed, more delivery drivers arrived, and Fahd’s heartwarming initiative continued. With each new arrival, Fahd would call out, ‘God give you health!’ and then, with a big smile, tell them, ‘God give you health, uncle. Keep the order for yourself, bon appétit!’ He specifically targeted drivers working close to Iftar time, ensuring they wouldn’t go hungry while on their routes. ‘Uncle, is the order for you? Keep the food for yourself to eat because the adhan has been called,’ he explained, making sure they had a meal ready right when they needed it most.
This incredible act of kindness by Fahd Kharoub wasn’t just a random gesture; it was part of a larger campaign encouraging acts of generosity and compassion during the holy month of Ramadan. The drivers were visibly moved, responding with heartfelt blessings like, ‘May God bless you,’ and ‘Bon appétit,’ along with the traditional greeting, ‘Happy new year / May you be well every year,’ to which Fahd replied, ‘And you too.’ Fahd’s thoughtful initiative turned simple deliveries into truly memorable moments of Ramadan kindness, reminding everyone of the spirit of giving that defines this special time. His actions quickly became a viral sensation, inspiring countless others across Jordan and beyond.
