Changing Modes of Transportation

During a meeting with the Parliamentary Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Committee, Shawarbeh highlighted the municipality’s initiative to establish public parking spaces with fees based on employees’ incomes.

So what’s the plan?

This strategic move aims to incentivize public transportation usage, aligning with Greater Amman Municipality’s ongoing efforts to enhance and develop public transit options.

To address the persistent issue of traffic congestion, Shawarbeh outlined three key projects within the municipality’s plan:

  1. Implementing smart traffic management, incorporating cameras to collect data on congestion, peak hours, and the influx of vehicles from various governorates.
  2. Generating insightful outputs to facilitate congestion resolution.
  3. Exploring innovative solutions utilizing artificial intelligence.
