Royal Court Distributes Meat to 6,000 Families in Celebration of Princess Iman’s Birth
The Royal Hashemite Court recently celebrated the birth of HRH Princess Iman Bint Hussein in a truly impactful way, by distributing meat to more than 6,000 families across Jordan. This generous initiative didn’t just stop at families in need—it extended to orphanages, elderly care homes, centers for people with disabilities, and juvenile centers, ensuring that the joy of this special occasion reached as many people as possible.
The distribution was carefully coordinated with the Ministry of Social Development and local Zakat committees, making sure that the help reached those who needed it most. The meat from sacrificed sheep was given as part of the Aqiqah, a traditional practice in Islam where a sacrifice is made on behalf of a newborn. HRH Crown Prince Hussein and HRH Princess Rajwa carried out this tradition, in line with the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
