The Famous Dead Sea Salt Island was Vandalized!

Two days ago, one of Jordan’s most famous natural landmarks, the breathtaking Salt Island at the Dead Sea, was vandalized when an individual set a fire on top of it. The once-pristine white salt formation was left blackened, sparking outrage across the country.

Stepping up to restore this national treasure, Faisal Abu Sondos and Shafeeq Agha, founders of an outdoor camping organization, took matters into their own hands. The two men led a cleanup operation, working tirelessly to bring the island back to its natural beauty. Single-handedly, they managed to restore the salt formations to their original white color, undoing the damage caused by the act.

The Jordanian community has since showered Faisal and Shafeeq with praise, celebrating their dedication and hard work – rightfully so….. While many remain shocked that someone could deface such a unique and beloved landmark (The A$$es) , the swift response to repair the damage has been met with gratitude and admiration.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving Jordan’s natural wonders, and if you find the guys who did this, please give them a Shaloot on behalf of all Jordanians
