A heartbreaking incident occurred today at a school in Madaba, Jordan, where two young students lost their lives after a teacher’s car accidentally crashed into their classroom. According to reports, the teacher lost control of the vehicle, striking the school gate, which collapsed onto the children. The victims, both second-grade students, were immediately taken to Al-Nadim Hospital, where they sadly succumbed to their injuries.

Dr. Yousef Abu Al-Khail, Director of Education in Madaba, provided further details, explaining that the accident was the result of an unfortunate issue with floor mat getting stuck in the gas peddle. Following the incident, police have launched a formal investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the crash.
In response to this tragedy, the Ministry of Education has announced the formation of a committee to investigate the events leading to this devastating loss. This committee aims to provide answers to grieving families and the community while identifying measures to prevent similar accidents in the future, while the incident has left the community in shock, highlighting the importance of safety measures in school environments.
