American journalist and commentator Tucker Carlson recently explored Jordan, and he simply couldn’t stop raving about its breathtaking beauty and vibrant atmosphere. He was particularly struck by the country’s stunning landscapes, rich history, and the impressive efforts made to preserve its significant sites.
During his recent trip, Tucker Carlson declared Jordan ‘one of the prettiest’ places he’d ever visited, noting how ‘vibrant and full of life’ it appeared. He was genuinely ‘shocked above all by the beauty of it,’ especially praising the government’s dedication to restoring, preserving, and beautifying the area along the Jordan River. This spot holds immense historical significance, being just steps from where his savior, Jesus Christ, was baptized by John 2000 years ago. Carlson found this particular site ‘remarkable,’ highlighting the profound spiritual connection he felt during his visit. He also mentioned his love for the churches he encountered, emphasizing the deep cultural and religious heritage woven into the Jordanian landscape.
Carlson, dressed in his signature blue puffer jacket, observed that Jordan looked even greener than he remembered from previous visits. He wondered if this was due to recent rains or increased water resource management, noting that ‘the trees are just brighter and more numerous.’ He described driving across the country and being ‘struck by how pretty it is,’ reiterating that ‘the country looks great.’ Beyond the lush landscapes, he was captivated by the unique patterns of the Dead Sea and found profound tranquility in Wadi Rum. He called Wadi Rum ‘the quietest place I’ve ever been,’ cherishing the absolute silence, waking up early to enjoy coffee and ‘marinate in the silence.’
A truly impactful aspect for Tucker Carlson was the generosity shown towards religious communities. He expressed amazement at ‘how much land the government of Jordan has given to Christian churches,’ calling it ‘quite a statement’ that he ‘loved.’ He even highlighted standing in front of a Christian monastery in what he acknowledged as an ‘overwhelmingly Muslim country,’ underscoring the spirit of coexistence. Having traveled extensively, Carlson confidently stated that Jordan is ‘one of the prettiest places on Earth,’ a sentiment he shared with ‘authority’ given his global experiences. His visit clearly left him with a deep admiration for Jordan’s natural splendor, historical depth, and cultural openness.
