Amman just got a major upgrade for drivers! The brand new toll road system is officially here, and it’s already turning heads with its smooth lanes and clear pricing. If you’re cruising between Azraq, Sahab, or Amman, get ready for a new way to roll.
A local worker gave everyone a sneak peek at how the toll gates work and what you’ll pay. For small cars, the fee is just 0.85 JD, while trucks will pay 2.5 JD. Starting next week, small cars will pay 85 qirsh, and big vehicles will be charged two and a half dinars. It’s all about keeping things simple and speedy for everyone on the road!
This isn’t just any road—it’s the first time Jordan has introduced a toll system, known as the PRT Toll. Drivers now have the choice between the regular route and the new paid road, which promises a smoother ride. The toll gates are set up on the Al-Harraneh-Al-Omari highway, so if you’re heading that way, keep some change handy!
Drivers will be charged as they pass through, making the whole process quick and easy. Whether you’re in a rush or just want a hassle-free drive, this new system is designed to make your journey better. So, would you pay a little extra for a faster trip through Amman?
