“Israel’s attack on Iran is a threat to the Middle East — but more than that, it’s a global risk”

The King said during his speech in Strasbourg, warning that the situation could escalate if left unaddressed. Calling on international leaders to take urgent action to prevent further deterioration in the region. He also expressed concern over how global reactions to violent conflict have diminished, stating that atrocities which once sparked outrage have now “become so routine.”

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola welcomed King Abdullah

Metsola described Jordan as an important partner to the European Union. She praised the country’s diplomatic efforts, particularly its push for a ceasefire in Gaza and its support for Palestinian and Syrian refugees. Metsola also acknowledged Jordan’s continued advocacy for a two-state solution.
