Zeyne’s New Single Is a Proud Ode to Her Jordanian‑Palestinian Roots

Born & Raised in Amman, Connected to Palestine

Zeyne’s story starts right here in Jordan—raised amid the rhythms of dabke and the melodies of her family’s musical heritage. Her grandparents hail from Nablus, which gifted her a connection to Palestine she continues to honor through her art .

A graduate of the University of Sussex (Media Communications & Sociology), Zeyne returned to Amman during the pandemic and found solace in music: from shy Instagram covers to standing on stage at Amman Jazz Festival—she transformed into a confident Arab woman proud to stand for her heritage and faith through music.

“Hilwa” – A Love Letter from the Dead Sea

Set against the Dead Sea’s breathtaking shores—the nearest she can safely get to Palestine—“Hilwa” (meaning “beautiful” in Arabic) grew from her mother’s comforting phrases like “hilwa hilwa”, and the wisdom her grandmother passed down.
Collaborating with an Algerian producer and her Jordanian team, Zeyne blends North African textures with Levantine soul. The result? A vibrant celebration of Arab womanhood, inner strength, and deep-rooted beauty.
