The Iraqi Ministry of Transport has announced that the national carrier, Iraqi Airways, has successfully carried over one million passengers during the past four months, reflecting a strong performance and growing demand for air travel. Between July and October, the airline completed more than 8,000 flights to a variety of domestic, regional, and international destinations, underscoring the significant improvements in the airline’s operations and the increasing popularity of its services.

Mitham Al-Safi, Director of the Ministry’s Media Office, confirmed that the growth in passenger numbers is a direct result of the airline’s introduction of new strategies, including the launch of economically viable routes, and the improvement of its services.
