A number of missiles intercepted

The closure coincided with reports from the Saudi Ministry of Defense, confirming that 18 ballistic missiles targeting the Eastern Region were successfully intercepted and destroyed. While some debris fell near industrial facilities, the swift action of the air defense teams ensured that the impact on civilian life was kept to an absolute minimum.

Back to business as usual

The “hours-long” closure came to an end on Tuesday morning once the situation was deemed fully secure. The King Fahd Causeway Authority took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm that the 25km stretch, the only land link between Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is once again open for business.

While the bridge is back in action, the National Communication Centre (NCC) continues to remind everyone to stick to official sources for updates. In times like these, avoiding rumors and staying tuned to verified news is the best way to support the community.

Bottom line: The bridge is open, the defense is ready, and your commute is back on track.
