Bahrain Rolls Out Motorcycle Ambulances For Speedier Emergency Response!

Hera Shabbir

Say hello to Bahrain’s latest innovation: motorcycle ambulances!

Thanks to the Government Innovation Competition (Fikra) spearheaded by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, these zippy two-wheelers are now hitting the streets to make emergency responses faster and smarter.

These motorcycles are meant to navigate through narrow streets for prompt service

When you dial 999, the National Ambulance Operations Room springs into action. If the call is from a tricky spot, think traffic jams or Bahrain’s narrow streets, these first responder motorcycles are deployed faster!

Once on the scene, these paramedic pros jump straight into action. Whether it’s a cardiac arrest, a bad injury, or even an emergency childbirth (yep, they’re ready for anything), they’ve got it covered. And don’t worry, if the situation calls for it, the regular ambulance crew is on standby for backup and transport.

To make this work, a squad of paramedics trained for high-stakes emergencies and licensed to ride motorcycles has been put through their paces

Now they’re revved up and ready to bring life-saving care to even the most hard-to-reach corners of the Kingdom.
