Bahrain Watched The Blood Moon Eclipse Light Up The Night

Last night, Bahrain witnessed a front-row seat to the Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse, and residents didn’t want to miss a moment. Whether you’re a stargazer or just love a good excuse to stay up late, this was everyone’s chance to witness one of nature’s most dramatic shows.
Bahrain caught the lunar magic
The last time Bahrain experienced a total lunar eclipse was back in 2018, but this weekend, the moon put on another unforgettable performance.
The eclipse lasted a whopping five hours and twenty-six minutes, with the main event, the total phase, stretching over an hour. From 7:27 PM, the moon started to blush with a reddish hue, reaching its deepest, most photogenic red at 9:11 PM. By 11:55 PM, the show wrapped up, and the moon returned to its usual silvery glow.

Stargazers avoided city lights for the most intense moonlit photos, and many gathered friends and family for a memorable night under the stars.

A total lunar eclipse happens when Earth slides between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow that turns the moon a dramatic red. This fiery color comes from Earth’s atmosphere, which bends sunlight and bathes the moon in the glow of every sunrise and sunset happening around the world.
