Bahrain’s petrol stations turned into the hottest hangout spots this week, and it wasn’t for the coffee!
After the Fuel Price Committee announced new rates starting December 30th, drivers across the island hit the gas, literally, to beat the price hike. If you noticed traffic jams at every station, you weren’t imagining things.
Long lines of cars snaked around petrol stations, with everyone eager to fill up before the midnight deadline. The scene was pure chaos: horns honking, engines idling, and drivers joking about squeezing every last drop for their Dinar.

Clips of the madness quickly made the rounds online, showing packed stations and cars lined up all the way outside. Cue the horses trotting through the streets, as some joked that horseback might be the new preferred way to get around.
