Ever wondered just how safe Bahrain really is? Japanese football creator Taiyo Jr decided to put the Kingdom’s reputation to the test in the most daring (and fun) way possible – by leaving his bag behind in public and going for a stroll! Spoiler alert: Bahrain totally aced the experiment.
Taiyo Jr, in town for the Asian Youth Games, kicked off his safety experiment one evening at Bahrain Bay. He set his small brown bag on a stone bench and announced, “How safe is it in Bahrain? Let’s go.” With the city’s sparkling lights and waterfront views as his backdrop, he wandered off, leaving his bag all alone.

As Taiyo Jr explored the promenade, he couldn’t help but gush about the beautiful bridges, glowing blue lights, and lively restaurants. It was clear that he was loving the city’s energy! The whole time, his bag sat untouched, proving that Bahrain’s reputation for safety isn’t just talk, but it’s actually the real deal.
After his leisurely walk, Taiyo Jr returned to the spot where he’d left his bag. Drumroll, please… it was exactly where he left it! “This is public place. No one touch. No one. This is crazy. I love Bahrain. Thank you,” he cheered, grinning from ear to ear.
Locals chimed in online, boasting that you could leave your bag for a week and it’d still be there.
