The Vatican News even posted pictures and updates of the Pope’s travel. He is set to arrive in Bahrain this afternoon, and was shown boarding his plane alongside Andrea Tornielli, Editorial Director for the Vatican Dicastery for Communication.

Pope Francis will lead a public Mass at the Bahrain National Stadium on Saturday, and then go the Gulf’s oldest Sacred Heart Church, Manama. The Pope will also get to meet Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, for a meeting with the Muslim Council of Elders. Read more about all the preparations for this grand even here.
