Bahrain Introduces Earlier Closing Hours And New Regulations For Touristic Restaurants

Hera Shabbir

Bahrain is shaking things up in the culinary scene with some new rules for tourism restaurants aimed at boosting safety and standards!

As part of these changes, all touristic restaurants, including those with live entertainment, are now required to close their doors by 3 AM

Tourism Minister Fatima bint Al Sairafi made the announcement, emphasizing that all restaurants must halt operations by this new closing time. But that’s not all! To ensure a peaceful atmosphere, live entertainment, including DJs and music, will be banned starting at 2:30 AM to 12pm. So if you’re looking to dance the night away, you’ll want to get your groove on a bit earlier!

Another significant change is that all tourist restaurants must now secure a license from the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority before they can open their doors

This includes getting approval for their location, ensuring that everything is above board.

But wait, there’s more!

All venues in the Kingdom are also expected to display a valid health license

This measure ensures that residents and visitors can enjoy a safe and healthy dining experience. Whether you’re grabbing a late-night bite or dining with friends, you can rest easy knowing that health and safety are top priorities.

These new regulations reflect Bahrain’s commitment to improving the quality of its tourism sector while keeping everyone’s safety in mind.

So, next time you’re out enjoying the vibrant restaurant scene, just remember things will be winding down a bit earlier, but the fun doesn’t have to stop!
