Summer has finally started in the Kingdom and working in the scorching sun becomes difficult this time around for most workers

Bahrain has offiially announced a ban on any outdoor work during the afternoon, for the month of July and August. The Labor Minister, Jameel bin Mohammaed Ali Humaidan stated that “Bahrain is committed to banning afternoon work under searing temperatures and high humidity in line with human rights principles and the need to provide a safe and healthy work environment.”

This initiative is set in place to protect workers from severe heat and sunlight that can cause health issues

In order for projects to be completed timely, the ministry has chosen to halt all work from noon until 4pm. This will prompt companies to allocate safe timings to workers in order to efficiently complete the work.
