Bahraini Officials Unveil Revamp Plan For Fire-Damaged Manama Souq
Just yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Rashed bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, expressed gratitude on behalf of the governorate’s people to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his initiative to develop the historic Al-Manama market.
The plan aims to revamp all damages caused by the fire last month
Officials hope to preserve the market’s cultural identity and enhance its infrastructure, following the Royal Order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa.
The Manama Governor highlighted that the Crown Prince’s guidance reflects the government’s commitment to preserving the historical Al-Manama Market and enhancing its status as a commercial and tourist destination.
The fire caused three casualties, several injuries, and damaged a dozen stores
