Bahrain’s Crown Prince Calls For Unity And Peace In Ukraine And Gaza During UN Debate
On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, delivered Bahrain’s address at the High-Level General Debate of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York today.
Crown Prince Salman pointed out that global challenges like poverty, conflict, and environmental crises have intensified, calling for a reform of the UN to adapt to current realities
He urged for immediate actions to ensure peace in conflict zones like Gaza and Ukraine, highlighting the humanitarian crises faced by innocent civilians. He also reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to multiculturalism and the importance of dialogue, as well as the nation’s efforts to prioritize housing, healthcare, education, and job creation for its citizens. The Crown Prince stressed that today’s interconnected crises require a united response and emphasized the importance of multilateralism in achieving peace and prosperity.
Finally, he called for collaborative global efforts, especially in managing emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, and urged the international community to uphold human dignity and ensure that the global order serves the common good.
