His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed Team Bahrain’s Olympic heroes back to the Kingdom at Sakhir Air Base today. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister celebrated the athletes’ fantastic achievements, including two golds, one silver, and one bronze from the Paris 2024 Olympics. He praised their dedication and noted that their success reflects His Majesty King Hamad’s unwavering support for sports in Bahrain.

He personally met with the winners with utmost excitement!

HRH Prince Salman congratulated the winners—Winfred Yavi (Gold, Women’s 3,000m Steeplechase), Ahmed Taj Eddin (Gold, 97kg Wrestling), Salwa Eid (Silver, Women’s 400m), and Gor Minasyan (Bronze, Weightlifting)—and highlighted Bahrain’s rise in the global sports arena, ranking 33rd out of 204 nations.

HH Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad also expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing Bahrain’s enhanced competitiveness in the sports world
