Bahrain has come a long way since 1987, when its land area spanned around 619 square kilometers. Over the decades, the island nation has transformed with extensive land reclamation projects that have steadily expanded its territory.

By 2018, Bahrain had grown to 777 square kilometers, thanks to ambitious land-filling initiatives that continue to redefine its landscape
