BDF Air Defense Systems Intercept Over 250 Aerial Threats Targeting The Kingdom In Last Week

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has issued an urgent update following a series of aggressive aerial attacks over the past week.

In a major statement released by the BDF General Command, officials confirmed that the Kingdom’s air defense systems have successfully countered multiple waves of terrorist attacks. Thanks to the high readiness and constant vigilance of the defense units, a total of 259 aerial threats were intercepted and destroyed before reaching their targets.

The BDF confirmed the breakdown

A total of 95 ballistic missiles and 164 drones have been intercepted since the start of the aggression last Saturday. The BDF expressed immense pride in the “advanced combat readiness” and “operational efficiency” of its personnel, assuring the public that the Kingdom’s skies remain protected. The performance of these men, the statement noted, provides a “firm assurance” that the nation’s security is being held to the highest standard.

Crucial Public Safety Directives

Given the intensity of the situation, the BDF has issued a strict set of safety protocols for all residents in Bahrain. To ensure the safety of the community and the success of ongoing military operations, the public is urged to follow these instructions immediately:

  1. Stay Indoors: Residents are advised to remain in their homes and avoid leaving unless it is an absolute necessity.
  2. Exercise Extreme Caution: If you must travel for an emergency, stay far away from any areas that have been impacted or damaged.
  3. Suspicious Objects: Under no circumstances should anyone approach or touch debris or suspicious objects. Report these to the authorities immediately.

National security has also requested the public’s compliance

The BDF has highlighted a critical security risk regarding the filming of military activity. The General Command has explicitly requested that residents:

  • Stop Filming: Do not record military operations or the movement of defense systems.
  • Avoid Impact Sites: Refrain from photographing or filming wreckage or fallen debris.
  • Halt the Spread of Rumors: Avoid sharing unverified clips. Stick strictly to official government and state media for alerts and warnings

A Violation of International Law

The BDF Command emphasized that the deliberate use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian areas and private property is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter. These indiscriminate attacks represent a direct threat to both regional and international peace and security.
