Librae is New York’s first Bahrain-owned bakery

This gorgeous spot is all thanks to Dona Murad, a Bahraini entrepreneur who’s married to a New Yorker. Dona told The National “We always wanted to have something in his hometown to represent the both of us, ..a space that brought together different cultures, religions and diversity.”

It even uses the famous local ingredient: Lumee

Lumee, or black lime, is common ingredient used in Bahrain. Dona made sure to incorporate a lumee babka bun in her delicious menu 🙌

Their freshly baked items look absolutely mouth-watering 🤤
