Here’s Where You Can Join The Eid Al Fitr Prayers In Bahrain

Eid Al Fitr is just around the corner, and the excitement for the special prayers is building up. If you’re wondering where to head for Eid prayers in Bahrain, the Sunni Endowments Council has officially released the list of mosques and prayer areas for this year’s celebrations.

When and Where?

Eid prayers will take place on the morning of the 1st of Shawwal 1446 AH.

As always, the prayers will be held at official mosques and designated prayer areas across Bahrain, starting at 5:50 AM. The preparations are underway, and the Sunni Endowments Directorate is ready to welcome worshippers from all over the Kingdom!

Prayer Areas for Eid Al Fitr

Here are the key prayer areas where you can join the community for Eid prayers:

East Hidd (Hayy Al Julaiah): A prayer area will be set up here, but note that Al Noor Prayer Area (Kooheji), Fatima bint Fahad Al Musallam Mosque, and Ahmed Abdullah Al Khaja Mosque will be closed.

Hidd (Block 111): No mosques will be closed in this area.

Muharraq (near Muharraq Cemetery): A prayer area is set up, with closures including Hamad bin Ali Kanoo Mosque, Al Ghawy Mosque, and Dhabiya bint Rashid Mosque.

Busaiteen (Sahil Al Sayah): Prayer will be held here, with the Ummahat Al Mu’mineen Mosque (near Muharraq Municipality) closed.

Arad (Arad Fort Square): Another prayer area here, with no closures to surrounding mosques.

Diyar Al Muharraq (southern parking area at Souq Al Baraha): Souq Al Baraha Mosque will be closed.

Salmaniya: A prayer area is ready here, with no closures to surrounding mosques.

Northern Riffa (near Al Estiqlal Walkway): Abu Al Fateh Mosque will be closed.

Eastern Riffa (Riffa Fort): Prayer area available here, but closures include Al Qal’ah Mosque, Shaikha Lulwa bint Faris Al Khalifa Mosque, Shaikh Salman Mosque (Riffa Market), and Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Ghatam Mosque.

Hajiyat (Road 2930, Block 929): Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa Mosque will be closed.

Hajiyat (Mega Mart parking area, Road 3918, Block 939): No closures here.

Askar (Heritage Village): No surrounding mosques will be closed.

Zallaq (Tamkeen Youth Centre Square): No surrounding mosques will be closed.

Hamad Town (Roundabout 17, opposite Hamad Kanoo Health Centre): Closures include Musab bin Umair Mosque, Isa Mohammed Ali Mosque, and Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan Mosque.

Hamad Town (Youth Centre at Roundabout 2): Closures include Hamad Town Mosque, Ramla bint Abi Sufyan Mosque, and Umm Salama Mosque.

Budaiya (Eid Prayer Area): Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Mousa Mosque will be closed.

Salman City (northern shore square, Road 8101, Block 581): The following mosques will be closed: Mohammed Abdullah Bahloul and his wife Fatima Al Khaja Mosque, and Salman City Kabinah Mosques (Nos. 1 and 3).

New Ramli Housing: Moza bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi Mosque will be closed.

A Well-Prepared Eid

The Sunni Endowments Directorate has carefully prepared for Eid prayers across all governorates of Bahrain. Special attention has been given to expatriate communities, with designated prayer sites set up also in schools across the Kingdom.

Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, reassured worshippers that the preparations are in full swing, ensuring a smooth and organized prayer experience for everyone!

Eid Holidays Announcement

In addition to the prayer areas, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, has issued an important circular regarding the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

As per the circular, all ministries and public institutions in Bahrain will close on the day of Eid and for the following two days, allowing the public to enjoy the festivities and time with family and loved ones.
