The men have been detained while the Public Prosecution investigates the case. The Coast Guard reported that the arrests happened when officers stopped the men in restricted waters and discovered the illegal catch during a boat search. Prosecutors have questioned the suspects and ordered their detention as the investigation continues.

In addition, two boats and the fishing equipment used have been seized, and the crabs will be sold at auction, with the proceeds going to the court’s treasury. The case will eventually be presented to the relevant court.

These folks were caught using unauthorized methods to catch shrimp, which violated local fishing regulations. The authorities didn’t waste any time, and the violators now face serious consequences, including possible deportation.
