A tragic building collapse rocked Arad on Wednesday, causing two fatalities and leaving four others injured.

Among the victims was a 66-year-old Bahraini man, while two Asian residents were immediately rescued from the rubble by the Civil Defence team

The building, which housed shops and flats, came crashing down following what’s believed to be a gas cylinder explosion. Seven Civil Defense engines and a crew of 38 personnel raced to the scene, swiftly securing the area and managing traffic to prevent further chaos. The National Ambulance was also on the scene, rushing the injured to the hospital for urgent medical care.

Authorities are taking this quite seriously as the building’s owner has already been summoned, to open an investigation to figure out what exactly went wrong
