Summer heat is no joke, and Bahrain is taking steps to keep outdoor workers safe.
A new regulation has now kicked off for the summer, putting a pause on midday outdoor labour during the hottest months.
The Kingdom of Bahrain officially started its annual midday work ban. This rule, aimed at protecting workers from extreme summer temperatures, beginning on June 15.

The ban is set to run for a period of three months. During this time, outdoor work is prohibited between midday and 4pm daily.
Authorities emphasized that the regulation is a crucial step in ensuring the well-being and safety of those working under the sun. Companies are expected to comply fully with the new directives or else risk a fine ranging from BD500 to BD1000 or even imprisonment.
