Bahraini Refinery Successfully Empties Impacted Tank Concluding Sitra’s State Of Emergency

Due to severe weather conditions and heavy rains, an oil tank in Sitra suffered a random leak that spread dangerous gas around the area. Schools had been closed and residents in the area were urged to remain inside due to the health hazards caused by the leak. Bahrain’s News Agency however recently announced that the situation has been controlled.

The refinery company recently announced the effected tank has been emptied

Bapco Refining also announced that Um Al Saad Avenue has officially reopened. The company thanked the General Traffic Directorate, the Civil Defense Affairs, and other relevant entities at the Ministry of Interior, for their cooperation during the difficult time.
