In their comprehensive announcement, authorities specifically drew attention to several key violations that are now under strict surveillance and will incur immediate penalties.

Drivers were explicitly warned against these dangerous practices, which significantly contribute to road hazards and accidents.

  3. Exceeding the speed limit: Adhering to posted speed limits is crucial for preventing accidents and maintaining smooth traffic flow.
  4. Using a mobile phone while driving: Distracted driving, particularly with mobile devices, is a major cause of incidents and is now under strict watch.
  5. Entering the yellow box junction: Drivers must ensure their exit is clear before entering these junctions to avoid blocking traffic.
  6. Obstructed Visibility: Any obstruction to a driver’s view, whether internal or external, can lead to dangerous situations.
  7. Running a red light: This highly dangerous violation poses a significant risk to all road users and is met with immediate and severe penalties.

Drivers have been urged to prioritise safety!

The General Directorate of Traffic concluded its important message by strongly urging all drivers to prioritize safety above all else during their journeys. With the advanced monitoring systems now fully operational, the emphasis is firmly on responsible driving and adherence to traffic laws.

The aim is not merely to penalize, but to cultivate a culture of awareness and caution, ultimately contributing to safer roads and smoother commutes for everyone residing in or visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain.
