Bahrain’s Public Transport Breaks New Records
June 2025 has seen Bahrain’s public transport reach some seriously impressive numbers, proving that the love for buses is growing stronger than ever!
Almost 1 million riders in one month!
In June alone, a whopping 985,636 riders hopped on the bus! That’s a huge milestone for the Kingdom’s public transport system, showing just how much people are relying on this service.
That’s an average of over 32,000 riders every single day
It wasn’t just a one-off spike. The average daily ridership in June was an eye-popping 32,855 riders! That’s a whole lot of people on the move and making great sustainable travel choices.
Decade of growth and trust!
This isn’t just a recent trend. Since February 2015, over 107 million riders have taken the Bahrain bus. That’s a massive decade-long growth, and it shows how much trust the public has in the system.

Safety remains a priority with 17 inspection campaigns taking place last month, making sure everything is running smoothly for everyone.
Bahrain’s commitment to keeping things safe and regulated is clear: a total of 2,773 operating cards were renewed, and 21 new licenses were issued!
The growth in ridership isn’t just about numbers – it reflects a shift towards more eco-friendly, accessible travel. More people are making the smart choice to leave the car at home and hop on public transport.
