Animal Rights Activist Pushes Lebanon’s Agriculture Ministry To Act Against Animal Smuggling!

Animal rights activist Ghina Nahfawi Baltagi filed a complaint after an individual admitted on social media to smuggling, including an endangered monkey.

In response, Lebanon’s Minister of Agriculture, Nizar Hani, took immediate action after reports of wild animal smuggling surfaced in the media.

The minister confirmed that judicial measures would be taken against the suspects and emphasized the ministry’s full cooperation with authorities to ensure the enforcement of the law.

Baltagi praised the minister for his swift response, calling the smugglers an illegal gang that not only harms wildlife but also risks introducing diseases to Lebanon.
