This natural phenomenon has not only thrilled the locals and tourists alike but has also caught the attention of the former Japanese ambassador to Lebanon, Takeshi Okubo, who took to social media to showcase Lebanon’s remarkable scenery and cultural richness. He stated, “No one in Japan would think that this stunningly beautiful sight with a waterfall is from a Middle Eastern country.” He added, “Unfortunately, most Japanese people are still under the stereotype that the Middle East is mostly an expanse of desert or wasteland.”

Recognizing the importance of raising awareness about Lebanon’s natural wonders and cultural treasures, Okubo emphasized his role in introducing the beauty and richness of Lebanese nature and culture to his fellow citizens.

The Lebanese community has shown a strong appreciation for Okubo’s portrayal of their country, valuing its diverse landscapes and cultural heritage.

As the former Japanese ambassador continues to captivate his fellow countrymen with the mesmerizing beauty of Lebanon, his efforts serve as a reminder that there is much more to be discovered beyond the stereotypes that often cloud our perceptions.
