This AUB Student Defended Her Friend Against A Vicious Online Rumor

Things got wild on Bliss Street when Ywona Haddad, an AUB student, found herself at the center of a rumor storm. What started as a normal study session at a coffee shop turned into a day she and her friends won’t forget, all thanks to a big misunderstanding and some seriously fast-spreading gossip.

A normal day turned upside down

Ywona was just hanging out with her friends, books open, coffee in hand, when her dad’s friend called her outside. He handed her an envelope stuffed with tuition money—nothing shady, just a classic student moment. But someone saw the handoff and jumped to the wildest conclusion ever. Within minutes, rumors started flying, and things escalated way too quickly.

Accusations and chaos

On the same day, police were on the lookout for a dealer in the area. Someone spotted Ywona with the envelope and, without a second thought, called the authorities. Suddenly, Ywona was handcuffed in public, totally confused and terrified, not knowing why she was being treated like a criminal. The scene was chaotic, with people filming and sharing videos online, making everything worse for her and her family.

The truth comes out

At the station, tests proved Ywona’s innocence—she had nothing to do with any crime. But by then, the damage was done: her day was ruined, her parents were panicking, and the internet was buzzing with rumors. Her friend spoke up, calling out everyone who spread false stories and reminding everyone that Ywona is just a regular student who got caught up in a mess she didn’t deserve. So, next time you hear a wild rumor, maybe hit pause before you hit share!
